You want to lose weight – Here are 3 things you must do

There are many men and women wishing to lose weight.

They become disillusioned when it doesn’t happen because they do not understand some very basic and essential things to help them along. You can have a healthy eating plan and a good exercise regime but the following are just as important.

  1. Drink sufficient water – It is required to nourish your body and to keep you hydrated. You must drink at least 6 glasses of water per day. It also helps to flush out unnecessary toxins in your body and maintain glowing skin.
  2. Sleep – It is a well known fact that the lack of sleep increases cortisol in your body and slows down your metabolism, making weight loss challenging. Treat yourself to a good night’s rest at least 7 hours per night. You will not only feel refreshed upon waking, your energy will increase and your body will work while you sleep. Keeping you fitter and decreasing your risks of diseases.
  3. Stress and the scales – Worrying about your weight will decrease your chances of losing. Create a positive affirmation that you can recite daily. Do not worry about the scales and avoid weighing yourself every day. If you are doing a challenge for a month or 3 months, weigh weekly or bi-monthly. You will feel more empowered and encouraged. Remember too that muscles tend to weigh more than fat. Quit being so hard on yourself. Take it one day at a time.

Do the mirror challenge each day – speak positively to yourself. Write your positive affirmations and make it visible. Another tip for you is that Skipping burns more calories than most cardio exercises. Why not pick up a skipping rope today and begin. You can also visit our website for tutorials and tips.
